About Scout Talent North America
At Scout Talent North America (Scout Talent), we strive to be the place that sets employers and candidates on the right path to an effective recruitment experience.
In an evolving talent market, organizations that recruit the best people are the ones that succeed and outperform their competitors. This belief has guided us for more than 20 years in our mission to empower organizations by optimizing their recruitment strategy.
We have served thousands of happy clients, delivering innovative talent acquisition services that attract and hire their biggest asset: their people.
With clients across Australia, Canada, and the US, we’re a fast-growing recruitment services and software company, and we’re only just getting started!
Your New Career
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Bilingual Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team on a hybrid work model in our downtown Vancouver, North American headquarters. This role requires fluency in both English and French, as you'll be supporting clients and candidates across Canada's bilingual markets.
Working alongside our team of recruitment specialists and sales professionals, you will manage full-cycle recruitment campaigns from initial strategy and candidate attraction through to screening, interviewing, shortlisting, and selection support, communicating fluently with clients and candidates in both official languages.
Supporting a diverse portfolio of clients and positions ranging from entry-level to C-suite, you'll become a trusted recruitment partner to your clients. You'll work with them to understand exactly who they need to hire, develop a tailored recruitment strategy, bring that campaign to market, actively source candidates, and then identify and engage the strongest talent through the selection process in English or French, as each client and campaign requires.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with clients to understand their hiring needs, ideal candidate profile, role requirements, recruitment challenges, and overall campaign strategy
- Conducting market research and providing clients with insights into salary expectations, industry competitiveness, candidate availability, and labour market conditions
- Developing and managing customized talent acquisition campaigns across a diverse portfolio of clients, industries, and position levels
- Copywriting and developing branded recruitment landing pages in English and French as needed that showcase each client's employer brand, opportunity, and employee value proposition
- Executing active and passive candidate attraction strategies through job board advertising, Indeed PPC, LinkedIn Recruiter, digital headhunting, email marketing, recruitment SEO, social media, and other sourcing channels, including bilingual job postings and campaigns to reach French-speaking candidates
- Managing campaign schedules and advertising budgets while monitoring performance across impressions, views, clicks, applications, and candidate quality
- Proactively optimizing campaigns and advising clients on strategies to improve candidate attraction, application volume, and overall quality
- Managing multiple candidate pools through our applicant tracking system (ATS), including reviewing applications, screening candidates, categorizing talent, and maintaining accurate candidate records
- Developing tailored screening questions and interview guides based on each client's requirements and ideal candidate profile
- Conducting candidate screening and two-way video interviews in English or French, depending on the candidate to assess experience, qualifications, motivation, communication skills, and overall suitability
- Preparing and presenting qualified candidate shortlists to clients, providing recommendations and insights to support their hiring decisions
- Maintaining regular communication with clients throughout the recruitment process, gathering feedback and adapting the search or selection strategy where required
- Coordinating final-stage interviews between clients and candidates and supporting candidate communication throughout the process
- Conducting reference checks and criminal background checks, as required, and facilitating online behavioural assessments
- Collaborating with our Sales, Software, and wider Talent Acquisition teams to ensure a seamless client and candidate experience from campaign launch through to hire
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll bring at least two years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, human resources, or a related people-focused environment, along with strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French. Bilingual fluency is a requirement for this position, not an asset.
We provide extensive training across our systems, processes, sourcing strategies, recruitment marketing tools, and approach to client service. What we're looking for is someone who understands people, is curious about different industries and professions, and wants to develop into a well-rounded, full-cycle talent acquisition professional.
Experience or knowledge in any of the following areas will be considered an asset:
- Full-cycle recruitment or candidate shortlisting
- Recruitment and HR best practices
- Candidate interviewing and assessment
- Client or stakeholder management
- Digital headhunting and passive candidate sourcing
- Recruitment marketing or employer branding
- Long-form copywriting and content writing, in English and/or French
- Job board advertising and recruitment SEO
- LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing platforms
- Social media or digital advertising
- Data analytics and campaign performance reporting
- CPHR designation or relevant post-secondary education
- Sales, account management, or other client-facing experience
- Indigenous and First Nations knowledge
This is a highly client- and candidate-facing role, so you'll need to be comfortable communicating across phone, email, and video in both English and French. On any given day, you may be advising a hiring manager on their recruitment strategy, interviewing a trades professional in French, sourcing a senior executive on LinkedIn, writing a bilingual employment campaign, or discussing a shortlist with a client.
You'll also need exceptional attention to detail and organization, as you'll be managing multiple recruitment campaigns and candidate pools at different stages simultaneously. You'll be comfortable taking ownership of your work, using data and market insights to make recommendations, and adjusting your approach when a campaign isn't producing the desired results.
Most importantly, you'll bring a collaborative attitude, strong professional judgment, genuine curiosity, and a solutions-focused mindset. You'll enjoy building relationships with both clients and candidates and taking responsibility for the recruitment journey from the moment a role comes to market through to the final stages of selection.
With Scout Talent North America's diverse portfolio of clients across non-profit, IT, healthcare, education, construction, manufacturing, First Nations organizations, and more, you'll gain exposure to an enormous variety of industries and professions while developing a genuinely broad talent acquisition skill set — and your bilingual skills will open the door to campaigns and clients across Canada's French-speaking markets.
It's an incredibly rewarding role that is central to fulfilling our purpose — connecting people to grow companies, careers, and communities.
The Benefits
As a valued member of the team, you will be rewarded with a $70,000 annual base salary, evaluated on skills and experience, along with benefits including:
- Generous performance-based incentives on top of the base salary achievable total earning potential of up to $85,000 in your first year (base + incentives)!
